The mission of the Shawnigan Lake Business Association is to increase the profile of Shawnigan Lake businesses and to support the community

Within this mandate, the SLBA works to achieve the following Strategic Goals:

1.   Provide networking opportunities for Shawnigan Lake businesses

2.   Increase public awareness of businesses in Shawnigan Lake

3.   Increase Shawnigan Lake Business Association membership

4.  Support initiatives that enhance the Shawnigan Lake community

SLBA  initiatives include:
Publisher of  The Community Crier (free quarterly publication mailed to Shawnigan Lake residents)
SL Heritage Museum fundraising
Annual Tour de Rock Cops for Cancer Fundraiser (almost $20,000 over two years)
Amphitheater Fundraising ( over $4,800 so far)
Shawnigan Lake Online website
Membership networking events
Christmas Light Up (in support of the local foodbank)
Membership E-letter

The SLBA also assists with other community group events including:
Hallowe’en Howl and Canada Day Celebrations (with the Shawnigan Lake Community Association)
Business Showcase (with the Malahat Legion)

Membership: Open to all active businesses within the Shawnigan Lake area. Annual dues: $50.
