Celebrate Canada Day - Shawnigan Style is celebrated on July 1st in the Village of Shawnigan Lake!

The day begins with a pancake breakfast hosted at the Legion Hall and presented by members of the Mill Bay Lions and Malahat Legion. Doors open at 9am and breakfast will be served until 11:00am when our Canada flag will be raised to O'Canada!

A parade will leave the Cairn Park, immediately across the road from the Legion, at 11:30am and travel to the Elsie Miles grounds. Any local children are encouraged to decorate their bicycles and come along for a ride! Please be at parade grounds by 11:15am to find your spot. Activities at the grounds will include games, bouncers, food, entertainment and the traditional Kid Can Build project! Free admission with a small fee for some activities. This is a family event with something for everyone from noon to 3pm! Come and join the fun or call to volunteer.
